Yarrow

Yarrow is a medicinal herb. Used to treat cramping muscles, reducing fever or “help with relaxing.” “In antiquity, yarrow was known as herbal militaris,” for its use staunching bleeding from wounds. It is an astringent. Note the feathery leaves. Has a strong sweet scent. Family Asteraceae, native to North America.

  1. There are so many things you could say about these plants, but you always find the most fascinating tidbits. Must say I’ve been looking much more carefully at the plants in my area as Jax and I go walking and sniffing. Almost took a picture of one this morning and sent it to you to see if you knew what it might be!
